Spoiler for ep 34-36

I found this from seed-forum with this scan from a jap magazine http://img262.echo.cx/img262/8733/ace8ho.jpg
Phase 34 : Nightmare Using a beautiful speech, the chancellor gains control of PLANT. He later gave order to Minerva to deal with Archangel. Minerva, taking the advantage that the AA is under pursuit by ZAFT forces, meets the AA on the battlefield. Talia then tries diplomatically to talk AA into surrender.
Phase 35 : Before the Chaos Shinn finally defeated his greatest enemy. Athrun, unable to conceal his feeling, beats Shinn up. But faced with Rey's argument that "Shinn was only trying to accomplished his mission.", he has nothing to answer for his action. Burdened with mixed feeling, Minerva arrived at Gibraltar. Shinn and Athrun was summoned by the chancellor who had arrived on Earth bearing a gift to the both of them...
Phase 36 : Athrun's Defection Jirbil, being reprimanded by LOGOs, left heavy hearted for Heaven Base in Iceland which ZAFT is preparing invasion for. Athrun, understanding the Chancellor's true intention, prepares for a defection to the AA. But he was caught doing so and was rescued by somebody he least expected.....

It turns out all the crap Shinn's supporters have been spouting are true!!!(Guess I can't call it crap now...) Shinn really beat Freedom!!! What the shit! Shinn winning Kira? In impulse??!! that's ridiculous!! The writers had better make this rubbish be logical! I can only see it happening in a situation where they have a huge (and I mean not just thousands) army face them while Shinn takes advantage of that. there's another spoiler that said Rey and Shinn were analysing Freedom b4 the battle... ARGHHHH!!! I don't care! The writers had better have a good explaination for this!!! Grrr!!!!As for Athrun? Come on, we all knew he was gonna defect, just not how. I certainly did not expect him to get caught. Dullindal must have learned from past experience. Just wondering who'll rescue him... Lunamaria seems to be an obvious choice... but den he'll have to take her with him... but Cagalli how? The writers had better develop this properly!!! Other than that, the story's rather predictable... Come on Fukada... can't you come up with sth new?

Kannaduki no Miko

The people at yamibo.com were very fanatic abt this anime. As it's main theme was shoujo-ai, I thought I didn't wanna delve into it. But well, after Shizuru/Natsuki became my fav pairing, I decided to give it a try.

The story: In a this ideal village, time passes slowly. Mostly good things happen. But on the 16th birthday of Kurusugawa Himeko and Himemiya Chikane, the village was surrounded by darkness. Orochi(monster of darkness) awoke his 8 descendents to kill the socceress of the sun and moon. (who are himeko and chikane). Oogami Souma, one of the orochi heads, turned against his destiny in order to protect Himeko, the one he loves. He destroys most of the other orochi's mecha everytime when Himeko is in danger. Chikane, secretly in love with Himeko, detests her inability to protect her, even more so when Himeko shows signs of falling for Souma. But in front of Himeko, she puts up a brave front and even encourages her to accept Souma's dates. All this time, though, both of the socceress tried to awaken some giant mecha on the moon to destroy orochi, but they always fail. That's when the 2nd head of Orochi approaches Chikane and tells her of her pass life and why they are unable to call upon the gods' power. It's because in their past life (1000 yrs ago?) Chikane, as the socceress of the moon, after killing Orochi, had to kill the socceress of the sun (himeko's past life) in order to return the world to it's previous state before the battle. Somewhere in her heart, Chikane hated the gods for making her kill the one she loved, so in this life time, they couldn't summon successfully. Realizing this, Chikane turns against Himeko and joins orochi as the 8th head. She rapes Himeko and takes away Souma's mecha and kills all the other heads of Orochi. She continually hurts Himeko in order for her to hate her. And in her final move to destroy the world, Himeko finally snapped and lunges at her with her sword, impaling Chikane in the chest...

Review: The mecha actions sucks. I've been pampered by better mecha animes that those here look terrible to me. Thus, the only attraction is the love story. But it is tainted with too much fanservice and testosterone exuded by Souma. I couldn't stand Himeko's nonstop whining, going "it's my fault" every episode. Plus her asking Chikane "what should I do?" at the ending of each preview serves to irritate me more. The only interesting character is Chikane. Loving so much but knowing that it is against all rules of society, coupled with Himeko falling for Souma, it's painful. All the memories of past life only makes it worst. But even so, I can't agree with her raping Himeko. The ends do not justify the means, even though Himeko seems to get over it very fast. Her reaction is illogical. Normally you hate the person who raped you. But no... she is weeping over why Chikane turned into a monster... Ok, I guess it's a way of the writers showing who much she actually loves Chikane, to the extend that she can forgive such acts...

Generally, I prefer the 2nd half the series, 6th ep onwards, where the story has more meaning and good angst. Haha... killing the one you love after you've saved the world is a sucky business.
Nice try though, but I'm afraid it ain't going into my collection.

Gundam Seed Destiny Ep30

After an intense action packed ep like 28 and an all talk on Gullindal's philosophy in ep 29(all talk, that's y i didn't bother blogging it), ep 30 is the logical story development ep. Not boring, not exceptionally good, but necessary. Several impt things happened in this ep.
1: The ORB's remaining soldiers join the AA. They have this whole speech thing as usual and the soldiers get all emotional and guess wat.. They CRY!!! Sure soldiers are humans and it's all heartwrenching to see uncontrollable tears falling down, but don't freakin' breakdown!! Geez... you're still in uniform pple. Anyway, the impt thing is that AA has more fire power.
2: Athrun's reputation in Minnerva is dwindling and Shinn is beginning to show signs of being an egoistic ass/moron. Hey, I don't mind him losing respect for Athrun. Athrun hasn't exactly been living up to his rep. Plus the words Shinn said were logical and IMHO, much needed hammering for Athrun. "Didn't you join Zaft to take down EA?" Shinn demanded (Actually, his tone made me feel he was more of venting frustrations of Stellar's predicament on Athrun than seeing through his nose.) Of course, upon hearing that, Athrun's speechless(he's getting the Cagalli syndrome). But I'm hoping his speechless is bcos he realized he didn't join Zaft to own EA's ass, but to end the war swiftly (no matter how stupid it sounds) and right now, Minnerva ain't doing that and probably not in the near future. So, hopefully, he'll leave?? haha..
3: Shinn and Rey disobeying orders by returning Stellar to EA. The disobeying ain't so impt cos I know Talia'll just put up a half-hearted show of wanting to punish but in the end it's just a slap on the wrist. It's Stellar returning to EA and Shinn being the person to do it. We all know it aint possible for an extended to go live in some safe haven "out there in the world", away from war. Shinn's just being naive. And he'll lose her. And he'll angst and blame it on other pple. (Wat a brat =P) Ok, I shouldn't be so mean since either way, Stellar can't possibly live well (as well as he wants her to), so he's just putting up a useless struggle. That said, I think the remaing path for Shinn to take is that of Anakin Skywalker's... Haha...
Shinn returns Stellar to Neo.
Shinn giving Athrun a piece of his mind. And of course, Athrun's speechless...
Remaining soldiers of the destroyed ORB ship meet up with AA under Tokeda's last order. Then they apologize to Cagalli for not listening to her blah blah and they start crying together... -_-"

Coach Carter - My Review

I had high expectations for this show... Wanted to watch for a long time but seemed that no one was interested bcos of the raised movie prices. But den, I found someone!!! And the show was funny and very real too... though I dunno if the ending is too good to be true. I always liked to watch Samuel L. Jackson act roles of authority position. He just feels very convincing. His body language, the way he speaks. So passionate. But I'd never wanna be under his authority. In this show, yar, he stars as Ken Carter aka Coach Carter, of Richmond High School Basketball team. He's new, coaching a team with skill but also attitude. Then, the usual underdog winning theme rolls out. He trains them, encourages them, moulds them into better players. Not only on the field, but off the field too. He's very adament that the players attain the necessary academic standards required of a student. Hence, he made them sign contracts on his first day on the job. He addresses them as "sir" saying it's a form of his respect to them. And when one player asks,"y are u calling me sir?" he replies,"you want me to call mdm?" haha... nice comeback. His form of punishment for all sorts of attitude, is given in the form of pushups and "suicides". "Either you pushup, or you shutup." Hahaha!!! (But that's y i'd nv want him to be my coach... cannot even do 10. The highest in the show was 2500!!!!!) So, the team goes on a winning streak and it gets to their heads (guys...) and it turns out they haven't been honouring their side of the contract ie: academic results, attendance, sitting in the front row etc... So? What does the coach do when he finds out the whole team is rebelling? (Ok, not whole, but some, but carter says bball is a team game, so they suffer as a team *lolz*..)He benches the whole team. THE WHOLE TEAM. No one ever did that. So the whole town goes into a furore. Media frenzy and all that crap. Everyone's mad that the team's not playing; that Carter took away the only thing important in these boys' life blah blah... And then we see the dark side of human nature. Carter then respond in a way that strikes a chord with me. The pincipal of the school tried to talk some sense into him,"This tournament, playing basketball, is the most important thing of their lives..." He retorts,"and i think that is the problem. Don't you think so?" Heh, of course the principal is speachless. =P But that's true right? If playing basketball in high school becomes the MOST important thing in your entire life, isn't that quite pathetic? Your high point in life is when you're 17 yrs old playing bball? What abt your future? There's so much ahead and these pple are forsaking all that. Well, he can't get through to their parents, at least he got to the kids. They listened.(So guai...) The message is this: You can dream. You should dream. But be realistic at the same time. Not everyone can make it to NBA or wateva pro sports league there is.

On another note, the guy acting "worm", called Antwonn sth, he's really cute and looks so dashing in that red suit. XD

Tsubasa ep5

I sorta lost interest after ep4. but then since I've already dl ep5, so y not watch? And so, I realised that Sakura is one character that should have a dialogue soon in order for the show to become interesting again. Y? Bcos the story is progressing rather slowly and the other characters are a tad bland for me. This ep is mostly abt more mood scenes and Fai showing off his kudan. And then the show ends with another standoff btwn Syaoran and Shougo. They need to move things faster abit.

Tsubasa ep5 screencaps.(note: Fai flirting with the girl after he beats her. -_-b

But then it ends halfway of ep 134 and the rest is just filler.. What the...??!!! Couldn't they find some better way to continue the ep instead of having more unneccessary angst!

Naruto 134 - Chidori!!! Cool and all Sasuke. Demo, u look hideous.
Naruto 134 - Rasengan!!!

Mai HiME characters & relationships (cont)

Mai & Natsuki:
Nothing much to say... I think the beginning kinda pointed in the way of a rivalry, with Natsuki being very hostile to Mai's arrival. But they actually developed friendship along the way. Well, the start probably came at an embarrassing expense of Natsuki, but I do think that Mai has a lot of respect for Natsuki and vice versa.

Natsuki & Shizuru:
Fav. pairing =D We don't see much of Shizuru before ep19, only a few inserts here and there. But they do show that Natsuki has a close friendship with her at the beginning. Natsuki does not treat anyone as she does to Shizuru. She seems more comfortable, and more relaxed. She uses Shizuru's laptop like nobody's business. It's only until ep 19 that we really see Shizuru's true feelings towards Natsuki. And at the critical point, where Natsuki's in danger(of course), she appears as a HiME to save her!!! It's sweet and all that until the writers decided to taint their relationship with Shizuru molesting Natsuki(I'm sure it wasn't rape) in her vulnerable state thus breaking the trust. I was like "wtf do/does they/she think they/she are/is doing!" But then I calmed down as the story progressed logically with Natsuki freaking out at this revelation and Shizuru, seeing it as the rejection as it is, goes completely berserk psycho. =X Sure it's scary, but it's fun too. Shizuru's voice is always calm and collected even when wiping out the whole first district. The scene with the old ladies running(if that speed is called running) away from a leisurely looking Shizuru was so damn funny. But I think it's this calmness contrasting the chaos she's creating that totally depicts her state of mind. She has nothing after losing Natsuki, so she uses the only way she thinks will keep Natsuki with her. "I'll never let go of you", she said. Single minded on getting Natsuki while ignoring the rest. The writers somehow redeemed theirselves by making Shizuru Natsuki's MIP. However, they did it in an ambiguous way that some people can interprete it otherwise, with Natsuki saying she doesn't return the same kind of love but still loves her dearly. I guess it's a good way to end their existence.

Natsuki & Nao:
They are both alike. Starking similarities include deliquence, anti-social, and lost of family members. After tragedy struck them, both had extremely intense hatred and the need to exact revenge. They were set on not trusting anybody but themselves. The difference: Shizuru. Natsuki had Shizuru to pull her out of that cage she built for herself. Shizuru extended a hand of friendship(whether for more personal reasons is debatable but I choose to believe it was pure good intent at that time and even now still), broke down the walls Natsuki built around herself, and brought her into the world of the living, thus paving ways for more friendship to add happiness into her life. Nao did not have anyone to take on the role Shizuru played for Natsuki, and so she is the extremist that she is today. Whether it's because of this difference or similarities that these 2 don't really see eye to eye, I'm not sure. But their interactions sure make me laugh so much. =D

Mai HiME Relationships:Mai, Mikoto, Tate, Shiho, Reito

Oh this is so complicated and yet so simple. Mai and Tate loves each other but can't/don't wanna admit it. Shiho loves Tate. Reito loves Mai or rather, wants her to himself since he's the OL. Mikoto is like a sis to Mai and Reito, but Mai thought she killed Takumi and so went berserk on her. When the truth was revealed, Mikoto has already gone too deep to return to Mai, and so willingly helps her ani-ue. Ok, that came out too complicated. To put it simply, Reito aka OL is screwing around with Mai and Mikoto. Tate is an ass who can't get his feeling straight. Shiho's just a possessive freak. This triangle btwn Mai, Tate and Shiho is just so cliche I didn't even bother to feel sad or angry. I didn't like Shiho cause she killed Akira's child =P

What really caught me was the Mai/Mikoto/Reito triangle (sorta). It's hard to describe simply but all I can say was that Reito really took advantage of Mai's indecisiveness and self-denial.

Mai HiME Review

I looooovvvvvvveeeeeeeee this anime! After gruelling waits for agonizingly unstable dl speeds, I finally finished the WHOLE SERIES. I can't believe I procrastinated ALL my other dls just for this, and I'M NOT REGRETTING ONE BIT! It's slapstick comedy, coupled with too much fanservice and an amazing storyline, with all too lovable characters. My fav characters are Natsuki, Shizuru and so ever badass Nao. Dislikes? the nun and her sensei and Shiho. Tate? He's dislikable, but I shan't waste time on him cos he is rather useless asides from being the MIP for 2 HiMEs. The first ep pales in comparison to other animes, but the show's entertainment quality has been consistent for most of the eps with occassional hick-ups like ep5. My advice? Take ur own sweet time enjoying the nice feel eps (very funny too) up to ep 15. Bcos, the thrill ride starts at 19 and ends around 25 or 26, depending on how u see it. Watch it at one go and you'll be less tempted to drop the show as everyone goes berserk!!! You know how I don't like GSD's Shinn going berserker/mad/seed mode, killing everyone. Well, call me hypocrite or wateva, but I feel that these girls are sooo hot when they go crazy/psychotic. Besides, they were kinda manipulated too. (removes some blame from them hehehe) Go HiME-sama-tachi! You all rockzz!

Mai HiME

This anime's genre is those overly reused girl-gets-power-safe-the-day-with-romance idea. But guess wat. I love it!!! Or at least the first 8 eps of wat i've seen so far. These HiMEs are given power and sth called a child each. To fight though, they have to have a Most Important Person, the person that they deem most important. When they lose a battle/child is destroyed, these MIPs die. I saw the first sacrifice on ep8 (yar, just) and I can see the dark cloud foreshadowing wat is to come despite the bubbliness and comedy so far in the show. As my bro says: the producer is one sick saddist. But I have to add he's one sick creative saddist. I'm stuck to the show despite knowing the heartbreak I'd prob get. Just hope I can bear all the sadness and finish the show.

The Interpreter

Well, the cast and the highly rated reviews were what drawn me to watch. Nv was into Nicole Kidman, but Sean Penn is one interesting actor. Plus, the normally stingy Sg critics give this 4 stars! Of course I gotta watch. I think the lucky thing for me was that I had no idea what the show was abt b4 I entered the theatre. Cos, at the end of the show, I was like: Ok. Period. Nth else. My opinion could have been lower if I had expectations. Oh well, the consolation would be that I finally got to realize how hot is Nicole Kidman. Sure she was more pretty in Moulin Rouge, but that was all glamor and make up. Here? She could look stunning in just normal (as normal as a hollywood star can dressup) clothings, or just plain OL suits. Oh well, that's just me. Abt her performance? Hmm.... I really wouldn't have linked her with an African even though she had the accent. When it was her first dialogue, I was like: Y is she talking like that? Maybe I'm dense. Sean Penn...? He looks like the angst person already I wonder if he really is acting. He prob should try other kind of roles next time. Personally, I liked the last scene where Nicole Kidman appeared in the room where that Matobo president was alone. It's like the god/dess of death has arrived. Haha. The following interactions btwn the actors were great. Probably one of the few memorable moments of the movie.

Tsubasa Chronicles Episode 4

Episode 4 has nothing much. Its story here is that Sakura has woken up and wander off on her own. She gets picked up by the same gangsters who obviously just wanna use her to get to Syaoran. But, a twist of events made Sakura change a bad man, to turn over a new leaf... Boring.

Sousei no Aquarion Episode 4

This ep, the commander teaches the kids something abt standing. They gather in the running track where he orders everyone to take off their shoes - be barefooted. Off course some aren't happy, and so the commander teaches them that there is something wrong with the way they stand. In a funny way of course. And then the shadow angels come again. This time, they use a technique that cancels out the gravitational field which causes Aquarion to lose balance and fall. Again and again. But soon, Apollo figured out what the commander was trying to tell them...

Sousei no Aquarion Episode 3

First part of the ep shows us the element school. Two newbies, Jun Lee and Tsugumi Rosenmeier are introduced. Apollo makes a spectaculer entrance, humiliating Silvia in the process =) The 3 newbies are then required to practice with the vector machines simulators. Silvia, of course, gets Apollo. However, even though they fight/quarrel nonstop in the cockpit, the "chakra"s are surprisingly in harmony. Which stuns many people. After the practice, Apollo talks to Sophia abt his past and questions abt partnership? Suddenly, shadow angels attack. Silvia is chosen to pilot vector Luna. But Apollo, unhappy tt he's left out, follows her... right into the cockpit! =O

This show is getting more and more funny. The simulation part was the best scene in this ep in my opinion. And in this ep, I saw the opening for the first time. The OP song was kinda kiddy actually, but I liked the chorus!

Tsubasa Chronicle Episode 3

Review: Shougo is abt to challenge Syaoran to a battle, but is interrupted by the police. The gangsters retreat. Syaoran & co are taken in by Sorata and wife Arashi. Mokona is able to detect Sakura's feathers and tells them that he detected one during the previous fight with the gangsters. Syaoran and Fai set out to search for the feather and encounters Touya and Yukito's alternate selves. Kurogane meanwhile, wanders by himself and is cornered by gangsters. In danger, his kudan appears...

Ok, this ep nothing special. Just liked the part where Kurogane got his kudan... Supercool dragon! And when he said he'll only serve Tomoyo? Awww....

Tsubasa Chronicle episode 2

In ep2, Syaoran brings Sakura to meet this dimension witch(i think thats her name). He is joined by Fye (he came on his own will to escape the king of his world), and Kurogane (who was sent here by the queen of his world, Tomoyo, unwillingly). Fye doesn't wanna go back, Kurogane wants to go back and Syaoran wants to go to other worlds to get back Sakura's wings. So, in exchange for their wishes, they have to sacrifice sth that is most precious to them. For Syaoran, it would be his relationship with Sakura. The first world they arrive at is in the midst of a gang war. They use kudans to fight. And when in danger, Syaoran's own kudan, which is top level, appears to save him. Intrigued/annoyed, the two gangs are eager to fight him.

Tsubasa Chronicles Ep1

As usual, I think CLAMPS' products are always top standard. This anime talks abt the wings of Princess Sakura being able to allow pple to travel through time and space. At the beginning of the show, the story starts out by showing Sakura and Syaoran's relationship. They're very close. On that night, something happened to cause Sakura to lose her wings, and she loses consciousness. Her wings have been broken up into pieces and spread all over different worlds in different dimensions/realities. And so, their journey begins...

I have read the manga, so nothing surprised me here. I tried it due to CLAMPS' rep. I like Sakura's seiyuu!! And Sakura's interaction with her bro is funny too. What I like abt this ep was the part where Sakura went to the cave and her wings awaken. Accompanied with the bgm, that scene was breathtaking. Looking forward to more.
Screencaps for Tsubasa Chronicles Episode 1.

Gundam Seed Destiny ep28

This ep was great! Lots of action that are essential to lead to a meaningful development in the story in future. Shinn... I can't fault his actions as a soldier. But as a human being, i think he fails in the department of apathy and general empathy to fellow humans. Wat he did in this ep was just kill kill kill. Seriously, this main character of the show has just become a mass slaughterer. His anger fuels him and he can't control it. Was it necessary to blow up an enemy carrier that was disabled, and non-functional? Even in real-life wars, there are certain rules and regs to prevent unnecessary killing. And Cagalli? No doubt I sympathize her situation, having to see her pple get slaughtered like that, her bf is not even the least bit concern over her safety, and she really is powerless to stop this tragedy. But, she really has to do sth else other than to call out to the ORB military to stop fighting. They are good soldiers that will only listen to their chain of command. She has to know that. And gladly, in this ep it came from someone whom she may listen to. Guess some hw has to be done after this ep to prepare to overthrow the Seirans hahaha!! Athrun? Puhlease! He's a self-righteous pompous ass who is so lost he doesn't even know it. And he goes around telling pple to fuck off? You fuck off urself mister! Oh well, Kira made him. Guess he'll have to think through this after the battle... And he has plenty of time given that he does not have an MS now...
And the sad sad ending with Shinn killing the person who gave him a chance for a new life. It seems his anger has no limit...
Finally!!! Kira heeds to us viewers sick and tired of Athrun's wishy washy ways, and makes short work out of Saviour. The level that Athrun has dropped to... *shakes head and sighs*
Berzerker/Madman/Seedmode Shinn goes on a killing spree with Athrun "trying" to prevent more deaths by blocking Freedom. Where's his logic? He should be inhibiting the one who is doing the killing, not the one who is trying to stop it. So nobody stops him? No fear. Cags jumps in bravely to "save the day". Obviously Kira would be worried and goes after her, and Athrun being the pest, follows. NOT bcos he wants to protect Cags but bcos he wanna stop Kira!!!
So seedmode Shinn is invincible in the area where Freedom and Saviour are not in the picture. Auel dies. Not that I care.
Freedom goes after Impulse after Shinn's attack on Cags, but guess wat? The madman goes seedmode and dodges his attack! (WTF!) Shinn attacks back but thank heavens Kira dodges it and he's not even in seedmode. =P
Great! The asshole fires missiles at Cags, WHEN SHE IS TRYING TO DEFEND MINNERVA!!! He's mad at her and orb for everything they've done, AND not done. Anyone arguing that he's just attacking rationally bcos of he's not sure which side she is on should go see a psychiatrist. Flashbacks before he shoots her proves my point.
Starting of the battle in GSD ep28, where blast impulse squares off with Abyss. New footage, new techniques, cool!
