Gundam Seed Destiny ep36 Brief Summary

Hmmm... just a brief summary for all who couldn't stand my bias commentaries in prev posts:
Dullindal delivers a logical explanation on his orders to persecute AA to Athrun, saying sth similar to "if they're not with me, they're against me, and I can't allow that". Athrun gets more mad. Then Mia overhears Dullindal and Rey's conversation, Rey suggesting that Athrun is useless due to his unexpected stronger attachment to AA and Kira. Dullindal says Athrun thinks too much for a soldier, and has an indictment ready for his arrest. Athrun, unwilling to be his war machine, escapes. Mia declines his offer to go with him. He stumbles into Meyrin's room, and she helps him, leaving the base in a gouf, with Destiny and Legend in pursuit...

Just thought I wanna add some pics on Athrun's harem who all proved quite useful... Mia, though unintentional, gave Athrun the much needed push to leave by telling him Dullindal's conversation with Rey. Athrun ain't gonna be nobody's puppet.


Meyrin, the most insignificant one, suddenly jumped outta nowhere to rescue Athrun... Her contribution is most significant. Luna?? Well, at least she did help in "scaring" the soldiers away, so even if they had any lingering doubts, they wouldn't wanna push it. ... So I guess the harem did serve its purpose... XD

Meyrin... To me, always the one who checked up on Athrun, sneaked glances, bumped into him accidentally... who would've known she had such quick thinking and guts...or was it just rashness?? Of all the people in Athrun's harem to help him escape...Well, they always say the one who's most quiet/reserved/inconspicuous will always surprise the most.


Even Athrun's surprised... but man, does he have luck with women...


Lunamaria happened to pop by and got kinda annoyed with the commotion in front of Meyrin's room and her sis's state of undress ... But gotta hand it to Meyrin... She actually pulled it off.. ^^b

Gundam Seed Destiny ep36 - Dullindal's explanation

We start off with Athrun confronting Dullindal abt the recent orders to annihilate AA & Freedom. Shinn as usual is clueless and doesn't understand Athrun's disrespect...of course.


And clever as the chairman is, there is always a "beautiful", "just" and absolutely logical explanation. NOT! All that crap abt Kira being unfortunate/ill-fated, being thrown into the previous war w/o knowing his "role"... apparently Kira's role is to be the perfect soldier for Dullindal to control... so is Athrun and Shinn. Since Kira is not with him, he cannot "allow" such power to roam unchecked. Unchecked by whom?? Who else but the great chairman of Zaft.


Athrun's response??? Besides continuous "gichou"(means chairman), nothing else. He didn't even dare to retort when Dullindal brought up the whole "even Lacus is on my side" crap. SHE'S A FAKE!! Goddamnit! Expose him already. There were so many loopholes in Dullindal's explanation but Athrun failed to bring them up AT ALL!! It just shows how weak he is in arguing. >///< Round dunno-how-many: Athrun KO'ed

Gokujou Seitokai Ep12

I don't support kaichou, but i love Nanaho-san, so this scene in the rain is just so...awww...XD This whole ep is all abt these 2...while i'm sure happy there's more background info, I really really wanna see more Kuon and Nanaho bickering~~

Gundam Seed Destiny - Side note on Talia's words

"If you're to have someone pick up a sword, it's important that it is for a just cause... We can't fight if we can't agree to who our enemies are and why they are our enemies."

The last sentence is an apt description of Athrun's stance now. The scene shows him thinking of Cagalli when they were first onboard Minnerva. She was arguing with Gilbert abt having power. What it means??? I'm presently too tired guessing.

Whereas the first one, I have some comments. Yes, it's impt to have a just cause. Kira's cause was to protect. Athrun's was to end the war swiftly, as he so believed in Dullindal's words then. Shinn??? To be able to protect everything important to him as so said in ep20 (or is it 21??). It's all just, but look at wat happened. The fact is justice is relative, not everyone agree on the same justice,(I certainly can't with Shinn's.) and that at times, they clash. Justice?? Sure, it may be stated clearly in black and white on paper... but what pple feel can't be restrained by that and they will always seek to have their own... and execute it.

Gundam Seed Destiny ep35 - Gilbert's gift

Athrun and Shinn meets Dullindal again. Athrun is reluctant to shake his hand... which makes his feelings of doubt show rather obviously, to someone as smart as Gilbert... stupid Athrun.


Unrevealing brand new nuclear powered MS Gundams - Legend and Destiny. Athrun is shocked beyond belief and the rift between him and Gilbert grows...


Oh my oh my... look how happy our resident brat is with his new toy... it makes me just wanna smack the lights outta him even if he won't see any sense after... >"<+

Gundam Seed Destiny ep35 - Onboard AA...

Murrue and Neo have some tentative dialogue here creating a wierd atmosphere... But we all know how Murrue-san is hurting...


Even these 2 are worried... But i just out it here cause they look nice... =D As you can see, Kira survived with just scratches... I tell you he's indestructable...

Gundam Seed Destiny ep35 - Athrun/Shinn bust up

Ok, there's been alot of debate going on in the forum abt Athrun acting wrongly, comparing Shinn and Athrun yadda yadda ... OVER A PUNCH!! I for one support Athrun here. Shinn's attitude was cocky, insensitive and intended to humiliate a superior. For one who has lost so much, you'd think he would understand Athrun's feelings. But noooo, he had to taunt him and gloat abt killing Kira. The punch was deserving. Demo, Athrun couldn't argue with Rey's point here, "We're Zaft" pretty much concluded everything. Athrun acted on emotions...like Shinn wasn't went he was fighting Kira, only that he had an order to back him up. But it's wrong to just blindly follow orders. In this way, every soldier can just claim ignorance of atrocities that they have done or are doing. It's every individual's responsibility to question and justify their actions. Following orders blindly is plain irresponsible and as guilty as the one who gave out the orders.

I can outright say Shinn nv liked nor respected Athrun from day one. That's why Athrun's performance and loss only served concretize this notion.

Gundam Seed Destiny Ep34

In short, AA and Freedom were in hot soup for the whole of this ep. Their goal: to get to the ocean and they're home free. Obstacle: Zaft forces + Minnerva + Impulse (aka crazy vengeful Shinn) One of the most intense battles of this whole series so far. Even though I didn't like Freedom getting destroyed or Kira losing, i really liked the battle scenes. New innovative moves, no more replays (yay!). My heart broke when Freedom go all beaten up. Shinn's a crazy cocky bastard, I'm so sure he's ego will soar up the scales and create new heights. (returns to a corner to mourn for Freedom)

Heh... Kira probably deserves to lose for getting distracted and retreating so much...
From what i saw, Shinn was forward forward attack attack attack all the time...
Kira was... block, shoot, fly to archangel, block more shots, block and block and block... i think he lost wateva sense of wat is attacking...
he's become complacent. plus, Shinn's maneuver, detaching the MS in the middle, probably gave him quite a shock...
From my POV,
Shinn's determination(it was intense) + innovative skills(i'll give him that, cos they were really good) + AA distraction(which includes Zaft and Minnerva attacks) + exhaution from fighting so many Zaft forces b4 minnerva popped up + Kira's no kill policy(I think it became a habit to not kill, he actually couldn't, even when he wanted to)
= Freedom's defeat

Direct hit. Score one for Shinn. T.T cryzz~~~ So long Freedom~~

Gundam Seed Destiny ep33

This ep starts where the previous one left off - with Shinn angsting over Stellar's death. Nice snowing scene with impulse getting a white coat of snow and Shinn letting Stellar sink to the bottome of the lake. But then, the producers had to spoil this scene for me by showing Shinn's face full of ugly hatred. After the opening song, we're shown Shinn and Rey analysing Freedom's moves (they admit freedom is the best MS out there - aka better than Impulse. So, no more unnecessary debate over this matter.) Athrun finds out abt it and gets pissed off. Shinn then gets pissed off and so pisses Athrun even more. Of course, being the only cool head around, Rey steps in to end the pathetic quarrel. But it's obvious he sides with Shinn. Athrun's speachless...again. So he leaves the room fuming. Then... Lunamaria approaches him and talks a whole bunch of useless crap. (Arghh... she's just trying to get near him!!) Ok, probably not so useless. She mentioned she wants Athrun to perform at his best, and points out that that is the only way to shut Shinn up. Following that is Dullindal's shocking speach, revealing the presence of Logos and the identity of the members (Jibril can't stop the broadcast, god knows why...), and Meer makes an appearance too, to rally support. They both practically wrapped up their speach by indirectly declaring war with Logos, which is controlling EA...so it means war with EA. AA and co, plus Athrun are worried and angry, while Shinn and co are thrilled >///<
Next ep: Freedom vs Impulse. It seems that those simulations payed off for Shinn. Freedom doesn't look like he's geting it easy. >"<
